Helicorp Announces Return Of Repaired Aircraft to Costa Rican Government
FlagOn Aug 23, 2008, Helicorp, S.A., was awarded a contract by the Servicio de Vigilencia Aerea (SVA) of Costa Rica to repair an aircraft that was severely damaged during a low level flight conducted in the Nicoya Peninsula in the Central Pacific zone.  The aircraft, a high-performance twin-engine Piper PA31-325 Panther Navajo, sustained major damage to its fuselage, engines and propellers resulting from a collision with an unknown object however it was able to return after the collision to Aeropuerto Juan Santamaria and land without incident.  The scope of work includes complete engine and propellor overhauls in addition to windshield replacements and specialized structural repair work.  Full repairs are anticipated and return to service approvals are expected by December 1, 2008.  Helicorp is an approved provider of aircraft maintenance services to the governement of Costa Rica in addition to being a United States FAA-approved aircraft maintenance facility. The Servicio de Vigilencia Aerea provides vital government services for the country of Costa Rica utilizing its force of approximately twelve aircraft and two helicopters.  More information about the vital services they provide is available at http://www.sva.go.cr/.

 En Agosto 23, 2008, a Helicorp, S.A., le adjudicaron el contrato del Servicio de Vigilencia Aerea (SVA) de Costa Rica para reparar una aeronave que se daño seriamente durante un vuelo rasante conducido en la Peninsula de Nicoya en la zona del Pacifico Central.  La aeronave, un bimotor de alto desempeño Piper PA31-325 Panther Navajo, soporto graves daños en el fuselaje, motores y las helices debido a una collision con un objeto desconocido, aunque pudo regresar luego de la collision al Aeropuerto Juan Santamaria y aterrizar sin incidentes.  El enfoque del trabajo incluye ovejoles completos de los motores y de las helices ademas de cambio del parabrisas y trabajo estructural  especializado.  La Reparacion total y su aprobacion de regreso al servicio se esperan para el 01 de Diciembre, 2008.  Helicorp es un proveedor aprobado de servicio de mantenimiento para el Gobierno de Costa Rica ademas de ser una instalacion de mantenimiento de aeronaves aprobado por la Administracion Federal Aerea (FAA por sus sigles en Ingles) de los Estados Unidos. El Servicio de Vigilancia Aerea prove servicios vitals para el gobierno de Costa Rica utilizando su flota de 12 aeronaves aproximadamente y dos helicopteros.
